“Don’t Talk to Strangers!”

So I just got back from my run (still training for that 5k) but I have an interesting story. I go running at night, but I usually get home right as it gets dark out, that way my sister won’t have to worry about me. I was a block away from home as I finished up my cool down and I passed by a party somebody was having. I walked past two guys who were on the other side of the fence and they were both smoking and drinking. They looked about 27ish. They both said “hi, how you doing.” I kinda just smirked back. One guy put his hand out and said “I’m Alex.” I kept walking and heard him say to my back “I guess not, whatever.” You have no idea how much I wanted to reply “and I’m 17” buuuut I refrained. Mom always said “don’t talk to strangers” and frankly, there were not worth a second of my time. Thanks mom :)
