Different Forms of Entertainment
Television
Jennifer has introduced me to the best website EVER. TvGasm. With this site, you can watch the show, and then laugh as you read commentators practically read your mind on what you thought of the show, OR, if you miss the show (or just don’t care enough to waste and hour of your life) you can read all the highlights in hilarious detail. I’m telling you, this site is gold. Find your favorite show and watch it get ripped to shreds (in a totally innocent way of course).
Books
So far this summer, I haven’t gotten as far on my book list as I would have liked. But on my defense, I am almost done with the Chronicles of Narnia. Holy buckets. I can’t believe I never read these earlier! The stories, the characters, the subtle (or not so subtle) meanings.
…as a side rant…
YOU MUST READ THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA IN THE ORDER THAT THEY WERE WRITTEN!
ahem.
I am serious though. I know that some will argue that you should read them in chronological order, but noooo. Trust me, you will be given all the information you need to follow the plot if you read them in written order. There are no ‘plot holes’ people. If they are written in a certain order, it’s not POSSIBLE to have plot holes!
Okay. My rant is done…
for now ;)
Jack Black
If I am up late at night, flipping through TV channels, I tend to look for movies to watch. If I see that Jack Black is in a movie, I usually pass right on by. I don’t like Jack Black. Correction. I don’t like the characters that Jack Black plays (although I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t like him in real life either). Well anyway, here I was, looking for something to watch, and lo and behold, The Holiday is playing. I thought I would just stomach Jack (he is one of four main characters, how hard could it be?). To my surprise, I didn’t hate him! In fact, he was quite an entertaining character, and not in that pervish-freakshow-annoying way that he usually is! So bottom line, if you screen your movie viewing based on Jack Black, give this movie a try. You’ll be surprised.
